Definition of Analytical Exposition

Analytical Exposition is a type of text or spoken material in English that is used to explain the author's views on an issue. In other words, this text is argumentative text. This type of text is very popular in academic circles and can be found in scientific books, journals, magazines, newspaper articles, academic speeches, and so on. The purpose of this text is only to make the reader or listener aware of an issue raised by the author or speaker.

Analytical Exposition Features

There are several characteristics of this text, namely:

• It is an argumentative text with supporting reasons.
• Using Simple Present Tense
• Using conjunctions such as first, second, third, next, furthermore, additionally and so on.
• Use evaluative words such as important, valuable, trustworthy, and so on.
• Using causal conjunctions for example, as a result, because, by, consequently, despite, due to, for that reason, and so on.

Generic Structure of Analytical Exposition

Analytical Exposition has its own generic structure. In this text there are three important parts that must be had, namely:

1. Thesis

Contains the opinion of the author or speaker regarding the topic in question.

2. Arguments

Arguments contain opinions that support the main idea. The more opinions are written, the more interesting an Analytical Exposition Text is because readers or listeners tend to believe in an event if there are many supportive opinions in it.

3. Conclusion

Contains conclusions or restatements on the essence of the ideas presented.

The Importance of Drinking Water

How much do you drink water today? Water is often considered insignificant but behind it all, it turns out that water has important functions for our body. There are several reasons why you should drink enough water. Firstly, the interstitial fluid is obtained by drinking lots of water. Water is used by the body to digest food and help transport nutrients throughout the body. In addition, interstitial fluid is also useful for producing saliva and regulating body temperature.

The second reason is that it helps kidney work. Our kidney processes 200 liters of blood in our body every day. It also filters out waste and delivers urine to the bladder. To do all the tasks, our kidney needs enough water because water is used to clean anything that is unnecessary for our body. Furthermore, drinking water can moisturize our skin. It makes our skin feel fresh, soft, bright and smooth.

In addition, drinking enough water every day can also improve our brain function. This can help us to concentrate more and to unpleasant the nervous system in the brain. In conclusion, drinking water is important because it is needed for our body fluids, helps the kidneys work, is good for healthy skin, and improves our brain function.
